The top 15 female artists of today will join forces to perform a single for the Stand Up to Cancer charity. Stand Up to Cancer is a program of the Entertainment Industry Foundation that calls on entertainment-industry people and platforms to help fight cancer.

Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Sheryl Crow, Miley Cyrus, Melissa Etheridge, Ashanti, Natasha Bedingfield, Keyshia Cole, Ciara, Leona Lewis, LeAnn Rimes and Carrie Underwood have recorded the song entitled "Just Stand Up."

The song hits ITunes on September 2nd and all sales of the star-studded single will benefit cancer research. All 15 singers will share the stage to perform the song live on Sept. 5 during the "Stand Up to Cancer" television special, set to air simultaneously on ABC, NBC and CBS.

The charity tune was conceived by Antonio "L.A." Reid, (the chairman of the Island Def Jam Music Group) who produced it with longtime creative colleague Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds.

(Between Mariah's screaming; Beyonce's vibrotos; Mary's shouting; Rihanna's billy goat chants; Ashanti 'baby' adlibs; Keyshia's wrong notes; and Ciara's whispering...this should be interesting....UHM WHERE'S JANET?)

According to Rap-Up.com, Ciara's album will come out in December, instead of November as annouced by Jive. I guess it's just one more month but considering the fact that it was initially to come out in September you have to wonder what's going on. We have heard that Ciara is doing a lot of hiring in firing in her camp as of late so perhaps they want to get everything settled.

However, Rap Up is also reporting that the first single may be a collabo with Tpain called "Go Girl"? Uhm, I like Tpain as much as the next but...NEXT. Come the fug on with that dude and his vocorder. Ci you better stop trippin. We ain't waiting forever.

Looks like Britney will perform again at the 2008 MTV Music Video Awards. Even though her album isn't due until 2009, she is said to be performing a single from the album. They use this girl way too much. And to think, she has never won a MTV video music award.
