When will they learn.... Just because noone called out Barack Obama on the fact that he claims to be a fan of hip hop yet criticizes lyrics put out by his favorite rappers Jay z and Ludacris, doesn't mean you get a pass.
Barack’s campaign is condemning a song by the rapper Ludacris that praises Obama and bitterly attacks Senators Hillary Clinton and John McCain. In true Obama fashion he buckled to criticism of the song and distance himself for the man he claimed was his favorite rapper. Through a rep he responded:
“As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn’t want his daughters or any children exposed to,” said spokesman Bill Burton. “This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain, and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics.”
Did Luda not know this would happen or is this just free publicity at Obama's expense? Note he didn't say retarded when referring to Bush. Either way Luda you are the Bama of the week for 1. going at my chick and 2. thinking the use of your name was anything more than an opp to bring in non suburbia negroes. Don't expect a call from Oprah or open arm from Hollywood.
And lets not forget they are considering Kanye West to perform at the democratic convention...Because he doesn't call women bitches **sigh**
